What is Intuitive Eating?
Intuitive Eating is a process of getting back in touch with the wisdom within your body while letting go of expectations of how your body should look. We are all born intuitive eaters - we know how much food our bodies need. It's not until we start trying to manipulate our body size that we lose sight of that and instead look around for the "right" diet that will help us achieve the body we want.
The truth is there are many factors outside of your control that determine the size and shape of your body. It is also true that we don't know how to help people lose weight and keep it off longterm. And it is also true that you can pursue health at any weight. Accepting these facts and letting go of the constant pressure to make your body smaller will free you in a way you never thought possible.
The process of intuitive eating allows us to tune out all the noise about what we "should" and "shouldn't" be doing and instead tune into what our bodies need and want. Only then can we develop sustainable lifestyle habits that will improve our health without feeling like we are in a constant fight with our bodies.
We help people with the process of Intuitive Eating through a fairly intensive program made up of weekly visits combined with exclusive content and unlimited help from our dietitian.
